Rats
A filmmaker recounts the events leading to his collapse into madness, beginning with the infestation of his home by rats. The two-bit exterminators he hires lay poison, but weeks later when the filmmaker returns from his mother's funeral, his girlfriend has left him and he must dispose of decomposing rats himself.
Pitching several extreme ideas he convinces a producer to fund his next documentary. His progress is continually interrupted by setbacks and further rat infestations.
